About Relief

Why Does Relief Work When So Many Others Fail?

Relief is a body Wash and hydration formulated to soothe blemish prone or irritated skin (especially Eczema or other skin irritations).

When you feed your body superfood rather than processed food, your body gets nourished and you feel good, right? Your skin is the same way. We have seen this first hand and couldn't be more excited about it.

Some of the superfood ingredients we use in Relief are grapefruit, which acts like a roto-rooter for pores to help unclog Acne prone skin. Coconut oil to combat problematic bacteria. Avocado oil for deep penetrating nourishment. And chia seed oil, which acts like a roto-rooter for pores to help unclog Acne prone skin.

Coconut oil, to combat problematic bacteria.

Avocado oil for deep penetrating nourishment. And chia seed oil.

And don't think we are the only people calling them 'superfoods.' All of the above ingredients have been deemed a "superfood" because of their dense nutrition and nourishing properties. Most soaps strip the skin of important oils leaving the skin dry and open to irritation. However, there are certain areas and times that need to be cleaned with a good safe soapy soap, for which we offer Clean (think: anything except torso, arms, legs, and face).

All other areas (torso, arms, legs, and face) should be hydrated with a hard-working, bacteria-fighting, hydration for skin, like Relief. Let us explain: Hard-working...Relief serves multiple purposes - cleanser and moisturizer in one*. Bacteria-fighting...we had Nourish  & Relief tested in a lab and it consumed the yeast and bacteria that was introduced to it. Thus, the bacteria-fighting properties help kill problematic bacteria which can lead to irritation and breakouts.

Uses of Relief (formerly called Cure)

  • Body Cleanser for Acne, Eczema and other skin irritations. (Some areas of the body need a soap but not the torso, legs, arms, and face.
  • Body & Face moisturizer for Acne, Eczema, and other skin irritations

How to Use Relief

Because Relief has amazing pore cleansing and bacteria-fighting properties, it works wonderfully as a moisturizer for body and face while helping soothe irritation. Rather than using harsh cleansers or toxic products, use Relief to refresh skin while blasting problematic bacteria that causes Acne and irritation for face.

(While we preach the praises of using plant oils to cleanse the skin rather than soaps, Wash brings Acne prone skin cleansing to a whole new level. Learn about Wash here.)

Simply massage a small amount of Relief into wet skin, rinse (although you will still feel it on the skin, which is good). Reapply after to continue the protection, soothing, and hydrating process that is beginning. Remembering that you only need a tiny amount as a little goes a long way because we don’t use fillers so you are getting a very concentrated product. Although using too much will in no way harm your skin, on the contrary.

Struggle with Cystic Acne?

So, you've struggled for years, spending a small fortune on getting your skin the way you want. We know how hard that is. Well, we do things different (as you read above) and the results are different too. This will be a process but stick with it. I know you will love the results.

  • Week 1-2 | Use Relief as your moisturizer and cleanser, exclusively.
  • Week 3 | Add Wash as your facial cleanser then Relief as your moisturizer for face and body.
  • Week 4 | Add Spot to your daily routine, apply on the affected spots. It may sting a bit when applied. This tells you it is working to combat infection which causes inflammation. If it feels too uncomfortable, rinse off and try again at a later time. Do not use if it burns. Although containing all healthy plant oils, they pack a powerful punch at infection and inflammation.

Acne, occasional or constant?

  • Week 1 ~ Use Relief as your moisturizer and cleanser, exclusively, remembering it has jealousy issues.
  • Week 2-4 ~ Add Wash as your facial cleanser then Relief as your moisturizer for face and body.
  • After week 4 ~ Assess your skin. If you think you should stick with the Wash and Relief for longer, go ahead. For some, using Wash and Relief may be their new normal, not needing anything else. If your skin is becoming radiant again and you feel more moisture and nutrients are in order, we can help with that, too.

Struggle with severe Eczema?

So, you've struggled for years, spending a small fortune on getting your skin the way you want. We know how hard that is. Well, we do things different (as you read above) and the results are different too. This will be a process but stick with it. I know you will love the results.

If you can keep it with you and apply it several times per day to affected areas, you will see improvement faster.

Jealousy Issues

While many see great results by simply removing products that are filled with additives and toxins and feeding their skin nutrient-dense superfood, it is important to remember that Bloom products have jealousy issues (we tried talking to them about it).
While you can't effectively detox your body while eating french fries, the same is true for our products. If you choose to embark on this journey of healthy radiant skin, it won't work properly if you feed your skin the proverbial french fries along with the healthy stuff.

Learning a new way of cleansing and caring for your skin is possible and the benefits are amazing, as you will see.

Detoxing

When you detox your body, there may be times when you feel rather yuck because your body is eliminating the toxins so it can heal properly. Some experience this with their skin. If you break out after beginning Relief, hang in there. Your skin is working through the yuck which may be why your skin was irritated and clogged in the first place. Once the initial detoxing is complete, your skin will go about the work of healing itself and you will love the results.

About Our Ingredients

We use the freshest plant oils, butter, and honey. That's it! You will never find water or other fillers in our products. Learn why we never add water here.

Our ingredients are raw, virgin or filter refined (never solvent refined), grown using organic practices when possible.

While the term "fair trade" has lots of political angles, we make sure that the ingredients we use are from farmers being paid a fair wage. When we visit the farmer's market, we aren't as concerned about organic certification as we are about their farming methods and whether they are organically minded. Our preference would be to support organically minded smaller farms doing honest work than pay a premium for boardroom execs. We don't get caught up in the bureaucracy of labels.
